Why do you exercise? - The Student Room
I exercise because it makes me feel really good. I love running until fatigued. It is the best feeling ever and you feel proud of yourself for pushing yourself.
I love dancing because it's freaking awesome.
I eat healthy because I want to be fuel my body for exercise and optimal performance. I want to get stronger, leaner and healthier, and the only way to speed up the process is eating healthy [ while exercising ]. I also can't cook so I eat salads, Chicken soup, poached/boiled eggs, baked/boiled veggies [ with oil + some herbs ], yogurt, milk, cheese, some nuts, fruits, boiled pasta [fusilli tastes good al dente with cheese [sometimes] and ketchup], etc. I don't know how to cook poultry + red meat in a flavorful way so I just eat what my mom makes [she makes delish Pakistani food, but I won't live with her forever].
I never knew I loved exercise this much until this week. I haven't exercised for 5 days, and while taking a shower today I craved exercise [if you can crave it]. It was 10:30 pm and my gym was closed, running outside or blasting up the stereo to dance were not options as it's nighttime my family was getting ready for bed. I was shocked at how much I needed it. I'm no exercise junkie either. 1 hour a day/6 days a week, and 1 day for yoga.
4 years ago I got into health and fitness to become skinny. I did things wrong and rebounded but i'm back with the experience and my whole outlook has changed. Now I just want to be healthy, fit and feel good. I don't want to become a size 0 [US] ever again. I'm perfectly fine becoming a size 5, although a size 3 would be nice because I still have these sexy pants in size 3.
Eat food to fuel exercise/your body, not exercise to eat.
Sorry for the long post.
Your turn.
