Our client a telecommunications company selling voice and broadband require a business development manager
Principal Responsibilities:
Selling Voice and Data services to new business customers
Building monthly sales volume to meet or exceed company targets through generating sales within the Business sector, consisting predominantly of sales of Broadband, IP Transit, Wide Area Networks and Voice
Preparing and submitting customer proposals
An ability to generate leads and make effective appointments is essential
Effective customer communication skills, including letter writing, phone calls, email correspondence and networking
Including maintaining regular contact with customers, introducing new products to customers, identifying new revenue streams within business accounts
Working with Marketing, Provisioning, Network and Support departments to ensure a successful customer implementation
Working within guidelines set by the Company in relation to sales boundaries, specifically in relation to Channel Sales.
Update pipeline to Line Manager on a daily basis via It System
Report daily on appointments via system
Attendance at weekly team meetings.
Representing the company at industry or other networking/promotional events

Person Specification:

Essential Skills & Experience (key competencies)

• Experience
A proven track record in new business development in a Business to Business Sales environment. Ability to demonstrate previous target achievement is essential.
You will be expected to demonstrate a passion to deliver a great customer experience
3 years telecommunication and/or IT product and services sales experience
Experience in selling date, voice and Internet technologies, including Internet access, Lan-to-Lan, Ethernet, IP, VoIP, IP Transit, analogue and ISDN voice
Proven ability to meet and exceed targets.
Good knowledge of IT, Telecoms and or Broadband and the competitive market.

Presentation to clients up to Finance Director and IT Director level

Skills
Strong consultative sales skills, with an ability to close deals based on delivering value to customers and not exclusively price.
Excellent Presentation skills to individual and group audiences up to Director level
Proven ability to work within a cross functional team environment
Ability to engage with different businesses across a variety of sectors.
Full Driving Licence
